The only problem is the feud between the families. You see, the Hawkins Ranch should belong to the Williams family, but it was lost, some years ago, in a wager. Denying a mate is one thing but hurting someone for the sake of making someone miserable. Lynn's family has osterized her uncle Freddy, his last days were miserable and alone. She meets Adam who only showed him kindness with his family help. As Adam and Lynn's relationship bulids An ancient feud is put aside and now let the claiming begin!!
I really enjoyed reading this story and although I missed out on Jordan's book, I didn't feel lost when he appeared in this one. Lynn arrives to a run down house she inherited from her great uncle. She has no clue about the long running feud over this piece of land but plans to stay, even defying her parents. Adam is more than willing to lend a hand since he knows she is his mate. Great read. I am anxious to read the next story in this series but I also want to back track to read all I've missed.
Lynn and Adam's story...Fate steps in when Lynn inherits a farm from her uncle and shifter Adam visits his new neighbor only to discover that she is his mate. What follows is a sweet, but sexy love story. It's not easy for Lynn and Adam. The couple has to overcome meddling parents, an old feud and learning that the man you are attracted to can shift into a Bear! I'm looking forward to reading more of this series. I hope you enjoy this book, too.
Lynn works for her parents til her Uncle Freddy past away and give his ranch to her. She used to go visit him then suddenly stopped going not knowing why. She looks at the house and it so runed down. Adam goes to welcome her and he realized that she is his mate. He starts helping fix the house up. The fued is finished when his family meets Lynn and they help her fix the house
This is a shifter romance with an interesting backstory. Lynn inherits a ranch after her uncle dies. She leaves her family hotel business to have a ranch and a home of her own. Adam is to receive his own ranch, right beside Lynn's, after his older brother says that he doesn't want it, but he wants to put the ranch in all his brothers' names. Plus, the ranch Lynn received used to be part of Adam's ranch and his father wants it back. As it turns out, Lynn is Adam's mate and she knows nothing of shifters.
This was a great book filled with love and life lessons. Adam and Lynn are great together. However it took all the characters to pull this book together. The whole Williams family as well as Lynn made this book special. They all showed how happiness come when you get perspective about life. Whether you are setting out on your own to chase a dream or finding the courage to break family tradition so everyone can get a fair stake in the homestead. Family is the most important thing and every member of the family deserves to be happy. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in this series.
Cowboy Bear Blues sets up the new series, Cowboy Brother Bears very nicely. Four brothers make up the next generation of the Williams Homestead – Adam, Jon, Samuel and Jordan. Jordan and his mate Skyla were met in Black Bear Down, part of the Return to Bear Bluff series. It’s not necessary to have read that series to enjoy the newest one, but it is an amazing series so I’d recommend you try out Return to Bear Bluff when you get the chance.
This is Adam and Lynn’s romance, which has been very well described in the Story Description for this one. So let’s jump right to the opinion part of this review, since the description of the story has been set up so well for you.
I really liked this couple. With a feud in the picture, just about anything could have happened but this time it was played out so perfectly. One generation is about to change how things are done on the family homestead. It’s not going to be easy, the boys father does not like change, and he’s been set in this feud for a very long time. But Adam doesn’t want to continue tradition, one that really seems a bit unfair. Trouble is, he’s just discovered that the young woman who has inherited the ranch where the feud comes to a head at… is his mate. Now he not only has to get his father to agree to a different way of running the family business, he has to get him to accept Lynn as his son’s mate. Very interesting concept, and very well played out.
Their story is very much about how our parents, our family often put us into these traditional boxes and expect us to simply go along with it… with no new ideas or needs of our own. Lynn is facing having the life she desires for herself or being cut off from her parents who do not approve. Adam wants to share the homestead’s profits equally with his brothers but his father is set on the tradition of one son inheriting it all. They both have battles ahead of them and in the middle of all that – Adam has to explain that he sometimes turns into a bear. Fun Times. *grin*
I would recommend Cowboy Bear Blues for any Shifter Romance reader. It’s fun, it’s sexy and it introduces us to some very handsome, sexy brothers – a few who still need mates of their own. Looking forward to the next story in this series.
